Carolina Quintana Ocampo

Carolina Quintana Ocampo is an illustrator based in Charlotte, North Carolina. With a BFA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Carolina has explored different ways to tell a story using fine art practices and digital media. Her vibrant and playful art style has made many stories come to life in storyboards for indie animation, children’s book illustrations, and her own in-progress animated short film, Mi Modo. The short film is a semi-autobiographical work about finding identity as a Latino-American by remaking a traditional recipe. She believes in highlighting unrepresented stories and is determined to help these voices come to life. When she’s not creating, Carolina enjoys going to her local movie theater, scrapbooking, and finding cool knick-knacks at thrift stores.
